The General Prosecutor’s Office has announced that, following discussions with various levels of responsibility within the Greek authorities, the decision of the Ministry of Justice of the Hellenic Republic to suspend the extradition procedure for Vladimir Plahotniuc was annulled on September 18, 2025, and the process of handing over the extradited individual has been resumed, TRIBUNA reports.

Next, the method and terms of the extradition will be agreed upon jointly with the Greek authorities.

The Prosecutor’s Office will continue to undertake all necessary legal steps to ensure that the extradition procedure is successfully completed, in accordance with international norms and national legislation.
