Energocom has announced that for the period from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026, approximately 90.9% of the forecasted natural gas consumption volume has already been contracted with firm delivery — totaling 7,448,218 MWh, equivalent to roughly 700 million m³, TRIBUNA reports.
The purchases were made primarily at indexed prices, using TTF front month (TTFFM) quotations published by Argus — one of the world’s most reputable independent energy analysis and data agencies — in conjunction with BRM (Romanian Commodities Exchange) quotations. As a result, the exact purchase price for each month will be determined on the last day of the month preceding delivery.
Based on offers received during the conducted auctions and TTFFM quotations available as of September 15, 2025, the average purchase price for the 2025–2026 gas year is forecasted at approximately EUR 38.5/MWh (~ EUR 410/1000 m³), including transport costs to Moldova’s Virtual Trading Point (VTP).
It is worth noting that purchases began in May, with monthly rounds totaling 54 auctions involving 13 companies from Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, and the Netherlands. Of these, 26 rounds were successfully concluded.
Given that the gas purchase price is the most significant factor in determining the final supply tariff for consumers, Energocom remains committed to identifying and applying the most efficient procurement solutions to ensure competitive and regionally aligned prices for the Republic of Moldova.
