Alexandru Machidon, acting prosecutor general, won the competition for the position of prosecutor general, informs TRIBUNA.
Yesterday, the Superior Council of Prosecutors held a public meeting during which the interview test of the candidates for the position of Prosecutor General took place, a competition initiated by CSP Decision no. 1-211/2025 of June 12, 2025. At the same time, the final results of the competition for the selection of the candidate for the above-mentioned position were evaluated and approved.
Following the evaluation of the candidates and the calculation of the average score given by all members of the Council, the following final results were established:
• Victor Furtuna – 8.23;
• Alexandru Machidon – 8.86 points;
The Superior Council of Prosecutors found that Mr. Alexandru Machidon obtained the highest score, based on the evaluation sheets, and, as a result, decided to submit his candidacy to the President of the Republic of Moldova for appointment to the position of Prosecutor General.
