Eugen Egetenmeier, a representative of Export Club Bayern and a specialist with 30 years of experience in the exhibition industry—17 of which were spent leading Messe München—will offer assistance in modernizing the Republic of Moldova’s only exhibition center, “Moldexpo”. Mr. Egetenmeier visited our country as part of the Romanian-German Economic Mission, which took place in Chișinău from July 23–25.

Zinaida Popa, Acting General Director of “Moldexpo”, stated that it is an honor to have such an expert supporting the modernization efforts of the country’s only exhibition center.

“A key objective of the mission was to initiate a partnership for the modernization of the International Exhibition Center Moldexpo, inspired by the success of Messe München—one of the most high-performing exhibition venues in Europe. Mr. Eugen Egetenmeier from Export Club Bayern is a global advocate for the development of the exhibition industry, with experience in founding major exhibition centers in Munich (Exporeal München) and Shanghai,” said Zinaida Popa.

Eugen Egetenmeier expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming modernization plans:

“It is a pleasure to be here in Chișinău and to support Ms. Zinaida Popa in her initiative to modernize and expand the Exhibition Center and to develop a program of trade fairs that will enhance Moldexpo’s importance as a destination and place it on the regional and international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) map,” stated the expert.

During their visit to the Republic of Moldova, members of the Romanian-German Economic Mission also visited key institutions that could support Moldexpo’s transformation into an internationally competitive exhibition center, including GIZ Moldova, the Swiss Cooperation Office, the Ministry of Development and Digitalization, the Chamber of Commerce, the Investment Agency, Helvetas Moldova, and Starnet.
