Following the publication of false and defamatory information in the press, Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog issues a firm reaction to the actions of prosecutors from the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office, under the leadership of Ms. Veronica Drăgălin.
He says “these actions, lacking any concrete evidence, represent an obvious attempt to discredit and defame Mr. Pîrlog’s image through fabrications intended to impress public opinion and influence the courts.
Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog categorically rejects any allegations suggesting his involvement in acts of corruption and considers these actions to be part of a planned campaign of personal defamation. This behavior by the prosecutors, under Ms. Drăgălin’s coordination, highlights the lack of real progress in the activity of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office and reflects an attempt to compensate for these shortcomings through unfounded attacks on public figures.
Additionally, Mr. Pîrlog announces that he will file a lawsuit against Ms. Veronica Drăgălin for defamation and the dissemination of false information.
Such actions are unacceptable in a rule-of-law state and severely undermine the credibility of the institutions involved. Mr. Vitalie Pîrlog expresses his confidence that the truth will prevail and that these attempts at discreditation will be clarified both in court and in the eyes of the public”.
