The Pre-Vetting Commission has taken note of the resignation of one of its members, Vitalie Miron, on 6 October 2023.

The Commission will continue its work in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 26/2022 on measures related to the selection of candidates for the positions of members in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors, which explicitly grant the Commission the authority to continue its activity. The resignation of Vitalie Miron does not impede the Commission’s ability to fulfill its responsibilities.

In accordance with art. 11 para. (2) of Law No. 26/2022, meetings of the Commission will be held with the presence of at least 4 members. In accordance with art. 13 para. (3) of this Law, decisions of the Commission will be adopted by a majority vote of participating members.
