This week, one year has passed since Ruslan Codreanu is the Interim Mayor of Chisinau, an opportunity to take a short summary of his work.
The first conclusion is that during this period the City Hall of Chisinau has not been “linked” with any political scandal (with the exception of some situations recorded during the early elections of the mayor last year). There were no major confrontations between the Mayoralty and the Municipal Council Chisinau, no dissatisfaction of the parties to the City Hall or other such situations. In a way, Ruslan Codreanu managed to eliminate or mitigate political manifestations in relation to the City Hall of the capital.
Another important conclusion is that during this period a lot of work has been done, and PR has not been done at all. This is easy to explain, even though Ruslan Codreanu is not a political player (at least, for the time being) and did not have a direct interest in doing his PR. On the contrary, it often gave the impression that he deliberately excluded the PR, which he could easily do on the basis of really good actions.
Another conclusion is that during this period Ruslan Codreanu managed to visibly increase the efficiency of the capital city hall and eliminate some of the barriers that hampered its good activity.
Also during that period, it was seen that Ruslan Codreanu is consistent in statements and actions, and if he sets a goal, he goes firmly on his realization, regardless of the obstacles that are placed on him. It’s a “golden” quality for a person in such an important position as the Mayor of the capital, or even interim.
Another important conclusion is that Ruslan Codreanu seems to be able to find a common language with everybody, he does not hide in the office, he even communicates with those who have diametrically opposed views and if he does not convince them to accept his position, at least such talks are not scandalous.
This year, Ruslan Codreanu surprised us by the performance of the leadership of the City Hall of the capital. The question is whether he will succeed in doing so further, because the general local elections are approaching, and they cannot leave their mark on the activity of the City Hall of the capital.
