Iurie Leancă about the submission of his candidacy for the elections in the European Parliament on the list of the party of Victor Ponta

The leader of the European Popular Party in Moldova, Iurie Leancă, vice-premier for European integration, came up with a message following the today announcement of Victor Ponta on the candidacy of the former Moldovan premier in the European Parliament, TRIBUNA informs.

“I am honoured to be part of the most professional team for the elections in the European Parliament on 26 May 2019, announced today by the president of Pro Romania Victor Ponta. Together in the European Parliament we will advocate for improving the quality of life of Romanians on both sides of the Prut, we will counter the dangers and challenges that come from the East , we will promote the cause of the integration of Republic of Moldova into the EU thus building the foundation for the reunion of Romanians . I thank ProRomania for your support and trust. Only by unity, we will make our voice heard in Europe, “wrote Leancă on a social networking site.

At the same time, he referred to the 101 years since the Declaration of Union of Bessarabia with Romania. “On this symbolic day, I congratulate the Romanians on both sides of the Prut on the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Union of Bessarabia with Romania. My belief is that the Union is not done through demagogy and promises, but through strategies and especially through concrete actions. Namely, Victor Ponta and his team unconditionally supported the Republic of Moldova (gas pipelines, kindergartens, SMURD, investments in cultural objectives). Since January this year we have joined forces to achieve the national integration of the Romanians on both sides of the Prut river because only in this way we can radically change the lives of our citizens in a short period of time, “concluded Leancă.
