Former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova and leader of the European Popular Party of Moldova, Iurie Leancă, deputy prime minister for European integration, will run for the position of the member of European Parliament from the PRO Romania party, TRIBUNA informs.
According to Victor Ponta, president of PRO Romania – Iurie Leancă will be the fourth on the list of candidates for the elections on 26 May 2019.
“I hope that Iurie Leancă will be in the European Parliament not just a representative of Romania but a representative of Romanians,” Ponta said.

At the same time, as Ponta announced, the former president of Ialoveni district, as well as the former Mayor of Milestii Mici commune, Lilian Carmanu joined the PRO Romania party. “Today, a friend from Moldova, former president of Ialoveni district – Lilian Carmanu, will join Pro Romania. Finally, I sign your adhesion, “Ponta said.
