The National Agency for Food Safety (ANSA) informs that on 17.02.2019 Law no. 119 of 05.07.2018 regarding the veterinary medicinal products, published on 17.08.2018 in the Official Monitore no. 309-320 art. no. 468 came into force.

As TRIBUNA informs, according to a press release, the law establishes the conditions and procedure for registration, manufacture, import, export, storage, distribution and release of veterinary medicinal products for the purpose of their introduction on the Republic of Moldova market.

On 22.02.2019 in the Official Monitore no. 59-65 art. no. 120, Law no. 306 of 30.11.2018 on food safety was published. This Law aims at achieving a high level of protection of human health and consumer interests in food safety, taking into account the diversity of food supply including traditional products, ensuring the efficient functioning of the national market.

Law no. 306/2018 will enter into force 12 months after its publication in the Official Monitore of the Republic of Moldova – 22.02.2020. On the date of entry into force of this law, Law no. 113/2012 on the establishment of general principles and requirements of food safety legislation (Official Monitore of the Republic of Moldova, 2012, No. 143-148, article 467) and Law no. 78/2004 on foodstuffs (Official Monitor of the Republic of Moldova, 2004, No. 83-87, article 431).
