Statement: If early elections do not take place then the new Parliament will have a stronger pro-EU opposition

The political scientist Dionis Cenusa argues that if early elections do not take place then the new Parliament will have a stronger pro-EU opposition that will include the representatives of the civil society.

As TRIBUNA informs, according to him, this means more transparency and accountability to the entire collective of deputies.

According to an analysis of the parliamentary elections, Cenusa wrote that the Democrats managed to weaken the positions of the Socialists and overcome the opposition.

“The propaganda and the populism have helped them, but the most  the votes in the territory. The diaspora actively voted, but less (about 79 thousand votes) than in 2016 (over 130 thousand), and the population in the Transnistrian region doubled its presence (over 30 thousand votes). The mobilization owas lower, but migrants did not vote because of expired passports. Voters in Transnistria have shown that they can make more votes if someone serves them with transport. The question is who brought them: PDM or PSRM”, wrote Cenusa, in a post on a social network.
