The president of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, announced that today,25 January, begins the electoral campaign for the elections of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

As TRIBUNA informs, in a post on a social network, Igor Dodon wrote that on this occasion he decided to address all citizens of the country, political parties, public associations, civic activists, media representatives and experts.

‘’At the moment, the Republic of Moldova is going through a hard time. We have a difficult task to solve – together, we must make a conscious choice, a thoughtful step, so to bring the country out of the crisis and ensure its continuous development. I urge all participants in the electoral process to show political maturity, show respect for opponents and for the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. We must not forget that we will live in this country after the elections, that is why I urge you to speak and act in a conscientious way. As president,  I will make possible to create equal conditions for all electoral contestants during the campaign”, Dodon mentioned.

The head of state also said that he will make every effort to ensure that this campaign meets high international standards and observers will appreciate its results as free and democratic, which will increase the prestige of the Republic of Moldova on the international arena and ensure the progress and prosperity of the country.

“This fact allows us to open a new page in the history of the Republic of Moldova. A legitimate and recognized parliament by the whole society will represent the fact that our country has returned to the path of natural, legal and democratic development”, Dodon also said.
