The cabinet today approved the extension of the deadline for submitting applications on subsidizing the creation of new jobs by one month, till 31 August 2018. A regulation to this effect, approved in 2017, provides for the subsidization of every newly created job with 40,000 lei, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.    

Among the eligibility criteria for receiving the subsidization, there are: increase in the number of wage earners by at least 100 persons, monthly average salary at the enterprises for newly employed persons not less than 75 per cent of the quantum of the average salary on the economy, lack of debts of economic agent to the national public budget.

Given that the 2018 year is the first one when this mechanism of stimulating investors to create new jobs is enforced, decision-makers ruled to extend the deadline for receiving applications. The latter can be submitted online, through the E-cerere (E-application) portal or in the written form, at the Finance Ministry.

We remind that the regulation on the subsidization of the creation of new jobs was worked out based on the Law on state assistance for carrying out the action plan on the attraction of investments and promotion of exports for 2016-2020.
