Moldovan top court's president resigns

President of the Constitutional Court (CCM) Tudor Pantiru resigned from office today.

According to CCM, Pantiru offered resignation on his own initiative, for personal reasons.

Thus, starting from 1 February, till the election of a new president of the Court, a CCM judge, Aurel Baiesu, will hold this position.

Tudor Pantiru was appointed judge of the Constitutional Court under a decision by the Superior Council of Magistracy from 12 February 2013. On 12 May 2017, Pantiru was elected president of the Court.
