Moldovan top court validates mandates of two MPs

The Constitutional Court today ruled a decision on the validation of MP mandates of Eugen Bodarev and Iurie Chiorescu, alternate candidates on the list of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova.

On 13 April 2017, the parliament declared vacant two MP mandates on the list of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova, following the resignation of lawmakers Alexandru Barbarosie and Victor Rosca.

On 21 April 2017, the Central Election Commission took note of the vacancy of MP mandates and submitted to the Constitutional Court a proposal to declare Eugen Bodarev and Iurie Chiorescu as MPs.

The Constitutional Court’s decision is final and cannot be subject to any appeal. It enters into force upon adoption and is published in the Official Journal of Moldova.
