The Government will hold an annual “Moldova Pregătită” event. This is a national government programme currently in the preparation stage. The programme will be coordinated by the National Crisis Management Centre and aims to strengthen the resilience of households and communities, TRIBUNA reports.
“Why are we doing this? Following the crises of recent years—the pandemic, the influx of refugees, the energy crisis, and hybrid threats—the state is moving from crisis management towards building a nationwide culture of preparedness, as already exists in Scandinavian countries. Today, the state is better equipped to manage crises, and institutions are more prepared. Nevertheless, it is important for citizens and the business community to know what to do in the first hours of a crisis, whether it involves a public health emergency, an energy crisis, or another emergency situation,” Government spokesperson Dumitri Ciorici said.
The programme will be ongoing and organised through annual editions focusing on specific themes. The first edition, entitled “The First 72 Hours,” will be launched in November 2026. It will include a family guide, a checklist, a family emergency plan, and an information kit.
Further details will be provided at a later date by the National Crisis Management Centre.
