A group of Czech senators, members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Security, is visiting the Republic of Moldova from September 21 to 23, TRIBUNA reports.
During their visit, the Czech senators are scheduled to meet with President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, Speaker of Parliament Igor Grosu, Deputy Speaker Doina Gherman, and members of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defence and Public Order, chaired by Lilian Carp.
The agenda also includes meetings with Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Valeriu Chiveri, Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin, and Minister of Defence Anatolie Nosatîi.
The Czech senators will also hold discussions with Valeriu Mija, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Alexandru Musteața, Director of the Intelligence and Security Service; and Viorel Cernăuțeanu, Head of the General Inspectorate of Police.
During the meetings, officials will discuss a number of current issues, including bilateral cooperation, the regional security situation, and the Republic of Moldova’s European integration path.
