Ion Ceban, Mayor of the capital and leader of the “National Alternative Movement,” said that Moldova is heading into a difficult winter with high tariffs and prices that will continue to rise. According to him, the authorities are taking no measures to support people, reports TRIBUNA.

“Do you remember that I recently said that diesel and gasoline prices would soon reach 35 lei? All those ‘yellow ones’ and their paid analysts immediately attacked me, accusing me of manipulation. They did nothing when prices began to rise sharply in the spring, and they are doing nothing now either. Although we proposed clear measures that have been implemented by other European countries, our authorities continue to make money at the expense of the people.

Now everyone is silent and proposing no measures for people. Are they still blaming the hybrid war? What next?

We are heading into a difficult winter. Diesel and gasoline are expensive, and prices will continue to rise. Gas, which has already become more expensive; electricity, which has also increased in price; heating — and everything will become even more expensive,” the politician said.

The mayor noted that on September 17, the National Bank of Moldova announced another “good news” during these “good times”: inflation — that is, prices and the cost of living — will increase by the end of the year, with price growth expected to be higher than previously forecast. The NBM also announced that loans could become more expensive again in the near future.

“But the salaries of teachers, educators, cooks and ordinary employees, with the exception of relatives of those in power, are low, while people have meager wages and pensions, and they simply will not cope.
