“There is money for outrageous salaries for cousins. Money was found to additionally employ 26,000 PAS activists, with generous salaries, in state institutions. But there is no money to increase teachers’ salaries,” said Vasile Bumacov, chairman of the European Social Democratic Party (PSDE), TRIBUNA reports.
The politician said that teachers are being humiliated and forced to demand the rights and salaries they were promised. Teachers are not asking for privileges. They are asking for respect, decent working conditions and a salary commensurate with the responsibility they carry.
“One thing must be clear: without investment in education and decent salaries for teachers, we cannot talk about economic development and prosperity.
Education is not an expense. It is an investment in the country’s future,” he emphasized.
