President Maia Sandu addressed children, encouraging them to share their impressions of the books they have read during their summer vacation, TRIBUNA reports.

The head of state recalled that the Presidential Palace will host a meeting with the most enthusiastic young readers.

“Dear children,

Do you remember the challenge I gave you at the beginning of summer? I encouraged you to put your phones and tablets aside from time to time, open a book, and embark on a journey of imagination.

Summer is coming to an end, and I’m very curious to find out where your books have taken you over these past few months. What have you read? Which character did you like the most? Which story made you laugh, dream, or discover something new?

I’m waiting for you to write to me at [email protected]. Tell me your name, how old you are and where you are from, how many books you have read this summer, and, most importantly, what impressed you the most.

I’m looking forward to your messages. Then, at the beginning of September, I will meet with the most enthusiastic readers at the Presidential Palace, and we will talk about the books and stories that accompanied us during this vacation,” Maia Sandu said.
