A new player may soon appear on the aviation market of the Republic of Moldova. Polaris Aviation Group, an aviation start-up founded by three Moldovan entrepreneurs, is undergoing certification with the Civil Aviation Authority and says it is already preparing its first aircraft.
“Polaris Aviation Group is a new project in the Republic of Moldova — essentially an aviation start-up in the Eastern European market. The idea came about three years ago, when two colleagues and I began analyzing the regional market,” said Gicu Răducan, the company’s CEO.
The company will be able to operate commercial flights only after obtaining its Air Operator Certificate (AOC), and its representatives say the launch will be announced as soon as all approvals are received.
