The MAN party will not participate in what it describes as formal consultations on the nomination of a candidate for the position of Prime Minister, TRIBUNA reports.
“We will not take part in these fictitious consultations. Why doesn’t the chairman of the ruling party, the one distributing microphones in Parliament, assume this responsibility himself?” said Ion Ceban, leader of MAN.
The politician stated that the country needs early parliamentary elections following the resignation of the government.
“PAS has failed after five years of lies. Following the collapse of the government, early parliamentary and presidential elections are needed so that the people can decide. The experiments conducted against the Republic of Moldova must come to an end, and the country must be freed from PAS captivity,” Ceban said.
He also announced that, during the meeting of the extended National Council of the National Alternative Movement Party, members would be asked to approve a decision to address society and initiate all necessary procedures for triggering early parliamentary and presidential elections.
According to Ceban, citizens should be given the opportunity to determine the country’s future political direction through new elections.
