Turboenergy Power has been operating for more than 19 years, currently being present on both banks of the Prut River. The start was not easy, as the field of activity is a complex one. About the origins of the business, its market establishment and prospects, the company’s CEO Victor Slivinschi spoke in an interview for Infotag.
The entrepreneur said he went through several business attempts before entering the energy sector.
“Although almost 20 years ago this field did not seem to have great potential for private business, I still decided to invest precisely here. This is how Turboenergy Power was founded in 2007, a commercial company with extensive experience in the industrial field, acting as a general contractor for turnkey energy projects, power and thermal plants, as well as for maintenance and repair of equipment in oil and gas refineries. Already in 2007 we started by supplying smaller-scale energy equipment, and over 19 years we have evolved steadily and sustainably, as is natural. Now, after nearly 20 years of activity, I can proudly say that we have managed to conclude contracts of national importance as an integrator of products and services. I am sure we would not have succeeded without maintaining the quality standards required and recognized by end beneficiaries,” said Victor Slivinschi.
The Turboenergy Power CEO noted that the company currently has over 400 employees in Moldova and Romania. “Taxes paid to the budgets of Romania and Moldova exceed 20 million euros. We are glad that in this way we contribute to the development of the countries where we operate, and also create qualified jobs and encourage people to work at home,” he added.
Victor Slivinschi also listed the projects that defined the company’s success. “We have implemented important projects such as those for Electrocentrale București (ELCEN), including construction of hot water boilers of 100 Gcal/h, modernization of steam boilers and combustion installations, major upgrades and overhauls of steam turbines and equipment in thermal power plants, aimed at improving efficiency and environmental compliance. We also carried out projects in the oil and gas sector, including works for Petrotel Romania and Rompetrol Romania, where the company provides modernization, repair and maintenance services for industrial installations. We implemented projects for companies such as HeidelbergCement Romania and Lafarge, and modernization works at Dubăsari and Stânca-Costești hydroelectric plants through rehabilitation of hydro-turbine aggregates. We also performed high-complexity precision works in thermal plants, including modernization and major overhauls of 100 MW and 200 MW steam turbines in plants in Romania and the Republic of Moldova. We have well-established partnerships with companies such as Emerson, Strabag, Siemens Energy, Doosan Škoda. These are only part of the company’s CV, but they reflect our expertise in highly complex technical works and our ability to deliver integrated solutions for energy and industrial infrastructure,” he added.
Asked about future plans, the Turboenergy Power CEO said he aims to strengthen the company’s position as a provider of integrated solutions in the energy and industrial sectors by expanding its project portfolio and increasing its presence on international markets.
“A major objective of the company is the development of renewable energy and sustainable solutions, including hydro, wind and solar projects, in the context of the global energy transition. We also aim to expand activities in energy efficiency and modernization of existing power plants, including cogeneration and technological upgrades, in order to meet environmental and efficiency requirements. Another strategic goal is human capital development and maintaining high quality standards through continuous investment in specialist training and adaptation to increasingly complex market demands. We have big plans, and some projects from other fields will be announced at the appropriate time. I like to test my instincts and get involved where I believe I can bring something innovative and unique,” he concluded.
