To manage the situation at border customs posts—aimed at streamlining cross‑border traffic and ensuring comfort for citizens crossing the state border—the Customs Service and the Border Police have implemented a comprehensive set of measures during the Easter holiday period:
- Continuous monitoring of the flow of people and vehicles to collect and analyse data on waiting times and peak periods
- Reinforcement of frontline staff by using available resources at maximum capacity
- Opening additional control lanes and applying the “Reverse” procedure where necessary
- Conducting controls based on risk analysis, with the involvement of mobile teams and canine units
- Close cooperation with border and customs authorities in Romania and Ukraine, as well as synchronisation of actions between field teams
For a faster and more comfortable border crossing, the Customs Service and the Border Police recommend checking in advance that all your documents are valid, planning your trip ahead of time, checking the situation at border customs posts, and—if possible—choosing alternative routes:
- Leușeni–Albița: you may opt for Leova–Bumbăta or Cahul–Oancea
- Sculeni: you may opt for Costești–Stânca or Lipcani–Rădăuți Prut
- Palanca–Maiaki–Udobnoe (joint post): you may opt for Tudora–Starokazacie
