Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, participated in the Conference on the Enlargement of the European Union, organized by the International Centre for Defence and Security in Estonia, TRIBUNA reports.

“We discussed the progress Moldova has made on the European agenda, the regional geopolitical situation, and the future of the EU,” Cristina Gherasimov stated.

The event brought together Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Enlargement; Taras Kachka, Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro‑Atlantic Integration of Ukraine; Ervin Ibrahimović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Montenegro; as well as Jonatan Vseviov, Secretary‑General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia.

“Moldova is a model candidate country. We are working hard at home to prepare our institutions and our country for EU accession. And for this, we are appreciated in European capitals. We will continue to make every effort, because our citizens deserve to live in peace and prosperity,” Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov emphasized.
