Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, accompanied President Maia Sandu on a working visit to Cyprus, the country that will assume the Presidency of the EU Council starting January 1, 2026.
“In the coming period, we aim to advance in the negotiation process for EU accession. Moldova is grateful for the support of the Cypriot authorities in its European path”, said Cristina Gherasimov.
During the visit, Deputy Prime Minister Gherasimov also met with Marilena Raouna, Cyprus’s Minister of European Affairs: “We discussed our plans for the coming year and how we can work together to achieve good results on the European agenda.
