Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, together with part of the team from the Office for European Integration, is in Albania on a visit dedicated to exchanging experience regarding the EU accession process, TRIBUNA reports.
“We have much to learn from our colleagues in Tirana, who just a month ago opened the final group of negotiation chapters with the EU and who, like us, have a newly installed government with a clear mandate to prepare the country for EU membership,” said Cristina Gherasimov.
In Tirana, the Deputy Prime Minister met with the team responsible for Albania’s European integration process.
“I was glad to meet and talk with Elisa Spiropali, Albania’s new Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as with Majlinda Dhuka, Albania’s chief negotiator for EU accession. We discussed the progress of our countries on the European agenda and the exchange of best practices between institutions,” Gherasimov noted.
She thanked the authorities in Tirana for their support and for sharing the lessons Albania has learned during the negotiation process.
