The European Social Democratic Party (PSDE) states that today, on International Human Rights Day, we celebrate the fundamental values that underpin a modern society: freedom, dignity, and equality of rights. This day emphasizes the responsibility of states and society to protect human dignity, promote equality, and combat human rights violations, TRIBUNA reports.
“The European Social Democratic Party, which promotes social-democratic values, will work diligently for a fair, inclusive, and united society, where the rights of every person are respected and protected.
We will make every effort to counter any form of abuse, violence, or discrimination. Together we can build a democratic and prosperous society that places people at the forefront. A community where every voice is heard, and every person feels protected and valued,” the statement adds.
International Human Rights Day marks the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948, under the auspices of the United Nations — a document that reminds us that human dignity is inviolable and universal.
