The Ministry of Foreign Affairs today summoned the accredited Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Chișinău and handed him a note of protest regarding the illegal overflight of the airspace of the Republic of Moldova by six drones on November 25, 2025, TRIBUNA reports.

The Ministry described these actions as absolutely unacceptable, stressing that they represent a serious violation of the sovereignty of the Republic of Moldova and a direct threat to national and regional security. The MFA reiterated its call to the Russian Federation to avoid any actions that endanger the security of our country and to strictly respect international norms, as well as the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova.

At the same time, the Ministry requested the Embassy of the Russian Federation to undertake the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of similar incidents.
