During the Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, held bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Lithuania, Croatia, and Bulgaria. The discussions focused on the parliamentary agenda and the European path of the Republic of Moldova.
Thus, the head of the legislature met with the Speaker of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Juozas Olekas, the Speaker of the Parliament of Croatia, Gordan Jandroković, and the Speaker of the National Assembly of Bulgaria, Raya Nazaryan. The foreign officials expressed their openness to provide support and assist the authorities of the Republic of Moldova in strengthening institutions and completing the reforms already initiated. “We were congratulated for the results of the September 28 elections and for the fact that Moldovans once again chose the European path,” noted the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, after the meetings.
Additionally, the head of the legislature reiterated the authorities’ determination to prepare the Republic of Moldova for accession to the European Union.
On Monday, the Speaker of Parliament, Igor Grosu, took part in the fourth edition of the Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform, hosted by the Swedish Riksdag. The event brought together speakers of national parliaments and interparliamentary organizations and was organized to highlight the consequences of Russia’s annexation of Crimea.
