Constitutional Court validated 8 parliamentary mandates

At today’s session, the Constitutional Court examined the request of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) and validated 8 parliamentary mandates in the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, TRIBUNA reports.

The following mandates were validated:

  • Political Party “Party of Action and Solidarity”: Oglinda Ana, Rusu Vladimir, Porțevschi Vasile, Canațui Oleg, and Bandalac Efimia;
  • Political Party “Our Party”: Cuiumju Constantin and Margarint Nicolae;
  • Electoral Bloc “ALTERNATIVA”: Cutasevici Angela.

CEC Chairwoman Angelica Caraman, representatives of the parliamentary factions of the Party of Action and Solidarity and Our Party, as well as substitute candidates, attended the session. Following deliberations, the Constitutional Court accepted the CEC’s request and validated the mandates of the substitute candidates.

It should be noted that the vacancies occurred after the resignations of deputies Acbaș Maria, Cheianu Constantin, Cojuhari Roman, Bostan Viorel, and Draganel Nicolae (elected on the Party of Action and Solidarity list), Cereteu Nina and Onuțu Stela (elected on the Our Party list), and Ceban Ion (elected on the ALTERNATIVA bloc list).
