The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemns the incident that occurred on the night of November 19, when the airspace of the Republic of Moldova was illegally overflown by a drone coming from the direction of Lesnaia (Ukraine) toward Săiți, Ștefan Vodă district. “Such actions represent a serious violation of national sovereignty and pose major risks to the security of citizens and regional stability,” the Ministry stated, as reported by TRIBUNA.

In this context, the Ministry will summon the accredited Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Chișinău tomorrow to deliver a formal protest on behalf of the Moldovan side.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterates its call on the Russian Federation to refrain from any actions that endanger the security of the Republic of Moldova and to strictly respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.
