Consumer Price Index in Moldova – October 2025: Inflation Slows Slightly

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, Moldova’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in October 2025 rose by 0.6% compared to September.

Key Highlights:

  • Cumulative inflation (Jan–Oct 2025): 4.3%
  • Annual inflation (Oct 2025 vs Oct 2024): 6.2%
  • Main price increases:
    • Vegetables: cabbage, carrots, beets
    • Eggs
    • Certain meat and fish products
  • Price decreases:
    • Fruits: grapes, apples
    • Sugar
    • Sunflower oil

 Non-food goods and services:

  • Slight increases in prices for clothing, footwear, and household appliances.
  • Service tariffs rose for water supply, sanitation, and some medical and educational services.
