Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Moldova, Hubert Knirsch, who has recently begun his diplomatic mission in Chișinău, TRIBUNA reports.

Minister Mihai Popșoi expressed gratitude to Germany for its consistent support to the Republic of Moldova, including through bilateral cooperation projects in areas such as infrastructure development, investment stimulation, energy security, and institutional capacity building. “Germany is a strategic partner of the Republic of Moldova. We appreciate the steady support provided in the process of modernizing the country and bringing it closer to the European Union. We are confident that our partnership will continue to grow in the same spirit of friendship and solidarity,” stated Minister Mihai Popșoi.

Ambassador Hubert Knirsch reaffirmed Germany’s support for Moldova’s European path and expressed openness to deepening bilateral cooperation.

The discussions also addressed the development of economic relations and joint initiatives in the fields of education and culture.
