As of today, the Republic of Moldova is officially connected to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA). Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated: “This means faster, safer, and more affordable euro money transfers between all EU member states, as well as with the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, and the Vatican,” reports TRIBUNA.
In practical terms, the official noted, money transfers between Moldova and other EU countries will now avoid high fees, and funds could arrive in less than 24 hours.
“For businesses, this means fewer barriers, lower costs, and more money reaching families back home.
It is yet another concrete step toward Moldova’s full integration into the European economic space,” the Prime Minister emphasized.
