Igor Grosu, President of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, is on a brief visit to Bucharest today, where he met with Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, TRIBUNA reports.
“This morning, I met with the Prime Minister of Romania and a true friend of the Republic of Moldova, Ilie Bolojan. I expressed my gratitude for Romania’s unwavering support and we agreed to elevate our bilateral relations to an unprecedented level in the coming years, particularly in infrastructure, energy, and capital exchange. These are concrete projects that will bring economic development and prosperity to both sides of the Prut River,” stated the official.
Igor Grosu also added: “Romania is one of the strongest supporters of Moldova’s European path. Our goal is to sign the EU accession treaty in 2028 so that we may soon be united within the great European family.”
