Ahead of the parliamentary elections on September 28, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, addressed all citizens, emphasizing that the country’s sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and European future are under serious threat, TRIBUNA reports.
“The Kremlin is throwing hundreds of millions of euros to buy hundreds of thousands of votes on both sides of the Dniester and abroad. People are being poisoned daily with dozens of lies. Hundreds of individuals are paid to incite disorder, violence, and fear,” the President stated.
The Head of State urged citizens not to surrender the country to foreign interests and stressed that the true national interest lies in peace, freedom, economic development, the fight against corruption, European integration, and the modernization of communities.
“The danger is great, but our strength must be even greater. Let us be worthy of our Moldova! Let us not sell it to thieves, nor allow others to do so,” Maia Sandu emphasized.
