President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, welcomed François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Bank of France, and Gabriel Attal, former Prime Minister of France and current leader of the Renaissance party—founded by President Emmanuel Macron and representing the largest faction in the French National Assembly—to Chișinău, reports TRIBUNA.
The discussions focused on bilateral cooperation, support for reforms in the Republic of Moldova, and advancing the country’s European path.
The French officials reaffirmed their support for strengthening democratic institutions and defending the sovereignty and independence of the Republic of Moldova against external interference.
