On September 19, the Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit with the Chișinău Court of Appeal against the Republican Party “Heart of Moldova.” The action follows a notification received from the Central Electoral Commission on September 18, TRIBUNA reports.

The Ministry of Justice has requested the court to admit the lawsuit, impose a 12-month limitation on the party’s activities, and apply a precautionary measure to restrict its operations during the examination of the case, until a final ruling is issued.

The Central Electoral Commission alerted the Ministry of Justice to elements that raise reasonable suspicion regarding the legality of the Republican Party “Heart of Moldova”’s financial activities.
