Starting today, September 4, 2025, the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual abolition of visa requirements enters into force, TRIBUNA reports.
The document was signed on August 4 in Abu Dhabi by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi and his Emirati counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Under the Memorandum, citizens of the Republic of Moldova will be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates without a visa for up to 90 calendar days within any 180-day period. This measure facilitates free movement, fosters interpersonal connections, and opens new opportunities for business, tourism, and cultural cooperation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasizes that this achievement marks an important step in strengthening bilateral relations with the United Arab Emirates and reflects a mutual openness to expanding cooperation in areas of shared interest.
