The Coalition for Unity and Welfare (CUB) will urge its members and sympathizers to vote with their hearts in the constitutional republican referendum on the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union, but to openly penalize the manipulation of those who can afford to lie to the poorest population countries in Europe by the fact that the referendum “brings us accession to the EU”. Declarations in this sense were made by Igor Munteanu, the leader of CUB, the formation’s candidate for the position of President of the country – in an interview for TRIBUNA. 

“The European idea is a guiding idea for us in the process of fully integrating into the structures, spaces, communities, markets of the European Union. At the same time, the current referendum is not required and cannot replace the referendum that will be required after the conclusion of the accession negotiations, in other words, the current referendum is a political whim of the current government, an instrument with electoral effects.

In his view, the CUB will urge its members and supporters to vote with their hearts, but openly penalize the hypocrisy, falsehood and manipulation of those who can afford to lie to the population of the poorest country in Europe, claiming that this referendum brings us accession to the EU. Nothing more fake”, said the CUB leader.
