The Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), in 2023, had total expenses of 22 million lei (22 022 171.43 lei, of which 18 481 464.47 lei – from the state budget, and 3 540 706.96 lei – from other sources), according to the financial management report. Thus, for this Sunday, TRIBUNA proposes “TOP-10 destinations of PAS expenses in 2023” to see what the governing party spent the most money on.
1. Electoral expenses
General local elections were held in 2023, so PAS spent the most money for the given campaign. The ruling party had total electoral expenses of 5 146 201.21 lei.
2. Personnel expenses
In second place are the expenses for remuneration of work (personnel expenses) – in the total amount of 4,217,059.08 lei.
3. Expenses for programs for women
PAS expenditures for programs for women amounted to 4,157,629.12 lei and are in third place in this ranking.
4. Expenses for youth programs
Youth programs were also among the priorities of the ruling party last year, so the amount of 2,231,848.83 lei was spent on it.
5. Transportation expenses
In the middle of the ranking are expenses for fuels and transport. PAS paid 1,565,293.13 lei for these.
6. Expenses for premises
About 100 thousand lei less PAS spent on the location, maintenance and operation of the premises. In total, it is 1,467,382.42 lei.
7. Expenses for promotion
The expenses for the press and promotional materials constituted 1,127,629.28 lei and is in seventh place in this top.
8. Expenses for meetings
For the organization of meetings, public demonstrations, seminars and other training courses for party members, held on the territory of the country – PAS took 745,877.05 lei from the account.
9. Expenses for spots
The penultimate place in this top is occupied by the expenses for the production and broadcasting of advertising spots, the total amount being 637,866.15 lei.
10. Expenses for telecommunications
Expenses for telecommunications and the development of applications or web pages necessary for PAS work round out this ranking. For these, the ruling party paid 246,750.57 lei.
