The Vetting Commission has sent notifications regarding hearings to seven subjects undergoing evaluation, against whom no doubts of integrity have been identified.

Among the subjects are judges Diana Stănilă (Bălți Court of Appeal), Stela Procopciuc (Bălți Court of Appeal), Stella Bleșceaga (Chișinău District Court), Adrian Cerbu (Criuleni District Court), and Ion Munteanu (Interim Prosecutor General), evaluated as candidates for the position of judge of the Supreme Court of Justice under Law 65/2023. Additionally, the Commission has not identified doubts regarding the candidate for the position of member in the Board for the selection and evaluation of judges of the SCM, judge Dumitru Racoviță (Ungheni District Court), and the candidate for the SCM, Tatiana Tabuncic (Member of the Integrity Council, Law Professor at USM). The latter two are evaluated based on the criteria established in Law 26/2022 on measures related to the selection of candidates for the positions of members in the self-administration bodies of judges and prosecutors. 

Therefore, after analyzing the accumulated information, the Commission has not identified doubts requiring discussions in a hearing according to Article 12 of Law 26/2022 regarding two subjects and according to Article 15 of Law 65/2023 regarding five subjects. However, the candidates have been invited to participate in an online hearing, with video recording, which will subsequently be available on the Commission’s website. 

The notified subjects have the option to participate or not in the hearings. Additionally, in case of non-participation in the hearings, confirmation of the accuracy and validity of the information provided in the Declarations, Ethics questionnaire, and subsequent responses to the questions of the Commission is requested. 

The Vetting Commission has scheduled the online hearing, which will take place via video conference, for 4 March 2024.
