The management of Trans-Oil Group is aware of the seriousness of the threats and is always looking for solutions to support farmers in the face of crises

Statement by Trans-Oil Group:

„The year 2022 was marked by a difficult regional and global context – economic, energy and logistics crises, caused by the all-out war waged by the Russian Federation against Ukraine, overlapped and hit the Black Sea region.

The sustainability of the agricultural sector in the Black Sea basin was affected both by the draught of 2022 and by the wave of crises that rampaged through all the countries of the region.

At the same time, this year has demonstrated that open dialogue, cooperation and solidarity between all participants of the national and regional agricultural markets are the key factors to overcome any crisis.

The management of Trans-Oil Group is aware of the seriousness of the threats and is always looking for solutions to support farmers in the face of crises, but also to prevent the worsening of the global food crisis.

As a result, Trans-Oil Group has taken the decision to support farmers from the Republic of Moldova and the region by offering the financial tool of purchase prices which are higher than just being sustainable.

Trans-Oil Group offers the highest purchase prices for grains and oilseeds on the local and regional markets – precisely by 15 US dollars per ton higher than the average price offered by traders in the Republic of Moldova and Romania.

We do firmly believe that within current context, marked by instability and insecurity, the mission of the Trans-Oil Group is to be a source of safety and confidence for farmers in the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine.”
