The largest number of persons infected with the novel coronavirus are from Chisinau (19) and from Hâncești (14). The data is available on the online platform that presents the latest situation concerning COVID-19 in Moldova, IPN reports.

Four of the total number of cases (49) were recorded in Soroca, three in Ialoveni, by two in Cantemir and Ștefan Vodă and by one case in Basarabeasca, Cahul and Florești.

Eleven of the persons diagnosed with COVID-19 are aged between 50 and 59. Another ten are aged 60 to 69. Nine are aged between 30 and 39, eight are aged between 20 and 29, while six are aged between 40 and 49. Three of the patients are aged 10 to 19, while one infected child is aged eight. One patient is aged between 70 and 80.

Twenty-seven of those infected are women, one of whom is pregnant.

A number of 28 cases were imported and 21 are cases of local transmission.

One person of the 49 diagnosed with COVID-19 died several days ago. Another 108 persons are suspected of being infected.
