Prime Minister Ion Chicu today summoned a meeting to consider the programme on distribution of the road fund’s resources for the national public roads for 2020, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.  

The acting director general of the National Administration of Roads unveiled the roads fund’s programme of investments and provided technical details and arguments.

The overall scheduled spending of the road fund is of 1,718.8 million lei. As much as 390.72 million lei will be used for works at transition objects, among which the construction of 19 km of the road Chisinau – Orhei – Balti and a segment of the road R34 Hancesti – Leova – Cahul – Giurgiulesti.

A sum of 508.92 million lei will go for the construction of new objects, among which 57 km of road Balti – Criva, 44 km of the R7 road Pascauti – Calinesti – Falesti; R16, 5 km of the road segment Orhei – Bravicea, and others.

The programme on the distribution of means will be submitted to the cabinet meeting for approval.

The prime minister asked the State Administration of Roads to create an efficient mechanism of supervising all construction sites and ensure a high quality of the works and materials used.
