President Igor Dodon today had a working meeting with Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (BNM) Octavian Armasu, the presidential press service has reported.

The sides discussed more aspects on the strengthening of the macroeconomic framework and economic development of Moldova. The officials referred to the way the reforms are implemented in the banking sector. In the context, Dodon and Armasu reiterated the importance of BNM’s independence for carrying out the priorities this institution has assumed.

The interlocutors were unanimous in the opinion that Moldova needs a stable, reliable banking sector and safe for citizens, as well as attractive for the business environment.
