Vladimir Turcanu: I voted for a city with a positive atmosphere and a new spirit

The candidate of the Romanian Popular Party, Vladimir Turcanu, says he voted for a city with a positive atmosphere, with a new spirit, with technologies that would turn it into a modern European city. “I voted so that all people could have a nice life in this city, not only those who are well off, but those with modest means,” said the electoral contender after exercising his right to vote, IPN reports.

In his opinion, the Chisinau offers possibilities for everyone to express himself, to earn a living here and to feel good. He has positive expectations from these elections, and depending on the results he will get, he will make concrete plans for the future.

“It is important that as many people as possible go to the polls so that the result would be a correct one, because absenteeism, it is known, distorts the final vote. And if fewer people come to vote, then there is a real chance that we will ultimately have a result that does not please us,” said the electoral contender.

Vlad Turcanu’s wife, Olesea, said that much work has been done in this campaign. “It required a lot of work and ambition. And I hope for a positive outcome”, said the candidate’s wife.

For general mayor of Chisinau municipality, 18 candidates are competing. As general mayor of Chisinau municipality shall be elected the candidate who has accumulated 50% + one vote. If none of the candidates manages to cross this threshold, the second round of elections is organized with the first two candidates, where the winner is the one who has accumulated the greatest number of votes.
