President of the Republic of Moldova Igor Dodon, after meeting with the leaders of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova (PSRM) and the Democratic Party of Moldova (PDM), says there are many differences between the political parties in the political side and the social one – similarities, TRIBUNA informs.

“Today we have managed to give continuity to political discussions. It is regrettable that deputies – the leadership of the bloc NOW decided not to participate in these discussions with the President of the country. We all have emotions, positions, anger about someone. After what happened last week, I could not even invite them, but I invited everyone, “Dodon said.

He also said that he “will not accept a parliamentary majority made up of traitors .”

At the same time, Dodon referred to the discussions at today’s meeting. “For me, it was interesting to listen to the position of the parties, to see if there are any common positions. We have seen many differences today between parties, but we have seen many similarities in social fields. As far as I understand, they will continue to consult each other internally. After that, they will announce their position, “added Dodon.

At the same time, he spoke about the role of the presidential institution in this respect. “I want to declare that the president has fulfiled his role in this situation. The presidential institution will not be involved in the negotiations with the political parties further. I believe that we have fulfiled the task we have proposed. Further  – you will decide. What matters – whether or not a coalition will be, the president does not decide, “Dodon said.

Finally, the head of state referred to the rejection of the Bloc NOW to attend the joint consultations today. “What was today is an attitude towards the presidential institution. I also wanted to see the position of the Bloc NOW. I have already done too much. You further clarify yourself, “Dodon concluded.
