The President of the Republic of Moldova, Igor Dodon, had a working meeting with Oleg Vasneţov, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Moldova. As TRIBUNA informs, in a post on a social network, Igor Dodon wrote that they exchanged views on the development of Moldovan-Russian relations of cooperations, as well as on the domestic situation in our country.
“We welcomed the fact that in Russia started the activities of marking the Year of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation. Thus, in Moscow these days, the public organization “For Friendship between Moldova and Russia” organized an Evening of Friendship with the participation of representatives of Moldovan and Russian public organizations. The “Forum of Businessmens” in Kursk, the “Festival of Moldovan Culture ” in St. Petersburg – events to be held in April this year. We also expressed our satisfaction with the fact that Moldova’s actions dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Moldova from the fascist occupation have been carried out in Moldova”, the head of state said.
According to him, in another context, he informed the Russian official of the dialogue initiated with the leaders of the main parliamentary political forces in order to overcome the post-electoral political blockage.
“We have been unanimous in the opinion that the talks will spur the political processes and will help determine the parties in making a final decision on the creation of a parliamentary majority or the organization of early elections,” Dodon wrote.
